Thanks to everyone who contributed to the NorESM annual user workshop! The event took place 14-16 January, with meeting hubs in Bergen and Oslo, as well as people joining on-line.
The NorESM annual user workshop had 44 registered participants, who received instructions on how to set up, configure and run NorESM, extract standard diagnostics, and detailed descriptions of the atmospheric, land and ocean components. A total of 12 instructors from the NorESM development team contributed to the event. It is truly inspiring to see that the interest for ESM modeling, and NorESM in particular, is still going strong!
This was the first workshop based on the NorESM2.3 code base, which was recently tagged with the first beta release. We continue to build on the tradition of NorESM user workshops held during the INES, INES-interim and now the INES2 periods, and look forward to setting up a new event for NorESM3 in a year’s time!
